Breeanna Fout, MA, ALC, NCC, Gottman Level 1
Under the Supervision of Angela Mains, LPC-S
Hello, my name is Breeanna Fout, and I am an Associate Licensed Counselor working in private practice in Birmingham, Alabama. I am passionate about creating a safe, supportive space where individuals, couples, children, and families can reconnect with themselves, their relationships, and their inner sense of balance. Life is full of transitions and challenges, and whether you’re navigating anxiety, grief, relationship shifts, or the emotional ups and downs of daily living, I’m here to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing and growth
I work with clients across the lifespan, recognizing that emotional health is deeply influenced by the mind, body, relationships, and environment. My approach is holistic and integrative—honoring each client’s unique story while drawing from evidence-based practices to support meaningful, lasting change. I support individuals and children struggling with anxiety, depression, anger, and life transitions. Working with children and teens, I utilize expressive approaches such as art and play therapy. These creative modalities give young clients a way to process their emotions and experiences when words may not be enough.
In my work with couples, I use the Gottman Method to help partners deepen connection, build trust, and navigate conflict with more understanding and intention. I especially love working with couples through life’s turning points—premarital counseling, preparing for parenthood, or adjusting to the demands of raising young children. These seasons are full of opportunity for growth and reconnection, and I’m honored to hold space for couples as they move through them.
My therapeutic lens is shaped by narrative therapy, DBT, and emotion-focused therapy (EFT), allowing me to blend structure with creativity, insight, and flexibility. Whether we’re building coping skills, uncovering patterns, or exploring your story through a more empowered lens, my goal is to help you return to yourself and your relationships with clarity and resilience.
I am a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where I received my master’s in marriage, family, and couples counseling after receiving my bachelor’s in psychology. I am trained in the Gottman method for premarital and couples counseling. When I’m not in session, you can probably find me outside—either swimming, painting under the sun, or trying to keep my garden alive (it’s a toss-up who’s winning). I enjoy listening to music, building elaborate Minecraft worlds, and spending time with family, friends, and way too many animals. If you're looking for a space that honors your wholeness—whether you're an individual, a couple, a parent, or a growing family—I’d be honored to walk with you on your path toward healing.
