Telehealth
Telehealth is a way to receive counseling through secure, live video sessions rather than meeting in person. It allows clients to connect with a therapist from anywhere in Alabama, using a phone, tablet, or computer. This can be a convenient option for those who prefer the comfort of their own space, have limited access to in-person services, or need more flexibility in their schedule.
At Healing Hub, we use Doxy.me, a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform designed specifically for healthcare providers. This ensures that your sessions remain private and confidential, with encrypted video and audio to protect your personal information. No downloads or accounts are required—just click a secure link to join your session from your computer, tablet, or smartphone.
While telehealth is a great option for many, it may not be the best fit for young children. At Healing Hub, we offer virtual therapy only for clients ages 12 and up. Additionally, clients must be physically located in Alabama at the time of their session, and telehealth availability is subject to therapist approval.
